Amazing friends...................

I have the most amazing friends and acquaintances, if I need help, a pep talk, a coffee and chocolate run , ANYTHING they are there........I am so blessed. I have no idea how I became so lucky to have this fantastic group of people in my life but I am joyous about it! I know I don't do near enough to let them know how much they are appreciated ....i must do a better job...... but in the mean time all i can say is Thank You from the bottom of my heart!!! In our lives we really need to stop and look around, take in the people that we know and see what they really mean to us!!! Have a great day!!!!!

I love this time of year.....

The fall and winter and Holiday season is without a doubt my favorite time of the year. Thanksgiving especially, I love to make the "feast", see family and start the decorating process. Due to my husbands job we live 1600 miles from my parents and I really miss being able to see them....something I am hoping we can change in the near future.
I am totally excited about the upcoming Harvest festival in Idyllwild ca, they are predicting snow for at least one day we are there ....yippeee!!!! The Bed and Breakfast we are staying at has a huge stone fireplace in the living room so I am hoping for some time with a crackling fire and some hot cocoa......and way to many marshmallows in it for my own good!! heehee
So if you are in the neighborhood, come on up the mountain, play in the snow and check out or specials!!!!

A crazy life and a boring blog..........

Hmmmm for having a life as busy and crazy as mine ,you would think there would be more to ramble on about here... but as usual it is the same ole same ole. We had a 1 day boutique on weds. ...it was a blast as usual, sales were ok plus there were fresh baked cookies from Linda who is a goddess of the kitchen...yummmmmm... can't find any fault with the day. Had to rent a truck to get there as my van is still sick( i had forgotten how much I loved the pickups !! )Then from there we headed over to set up the 3 day Little Bear Boutique. Love that one too, we set up , walk away and let the owners of the home run it then show up a the end and tear down.
Have a pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove for dinner and have been sewing up a storm today... other than having the 7 year old home from school with a cold it has been a relaxing kind of day. Tomorrow is a straight pouring day if all goes as planned ( after taking the sick van back to the mechanic) .....toodles!!!!

The long and winding......to do list......

Where did I get this list making gene???? I have mile long to do lists perpetually...they never get shorter since as soon I complete a task I add another. And now another addiction....this blogging thing ( still just dipping my toes in the water) but I can see I am going to have a hard time ignoring the call of the computer. Be it to dabble and update mine or to read others that I am finding extremely intriguing....
Heaven help me and the work that needs to be done today......there are pantry cakes in the oven and candles ready to be poured and cheesecloth to be grubbed.....so awaaaaaaaay i go off in a cloud of cinnamon and soy wax debris...
***** oh and a funny little footnote... at the bank yesterday dropping off the deposit from the last show...the girl asks if I have gum etc.. in my purse? Why, I ask....well she says your money smells yummy!!! lol it smelled of cinnamon and candles and fixins....****** heehee we will take that as a bonus!!!!!

Pouring Caramelized Praline...yum....

Now I have a serious craving for caramel corn or anything brown sugary and sweet......the down fall of the whole thing I guess...... normally it makes me crave salty things but not today! Have a few orders to fill today but that shouldn't take long then back to sewing and painting, and getting ready for next weeks boutique.
I should take the car in today to see what the damage to my wallet is going to be but just don't really want to face that either..... well off for butternut squash ( yeah for breakfast...I am a weirdo) then to work ...... Have a happy day and a great weekend!

Dull...Dull....and Busy......lol

Today has been a day to try to catch up with the house......What I really need to be doing is painting and finishing ornies...but the laundry won't do itself either. " Hauling Harriet" aka my van is acting up which doesn't make for a comfortable feeling when you have a big show schedule....but then life would be boring and no where near as much fun......lol ( guess I will be seeing my favorite mechanic in the morning)
We will be at Highland High School for a boutique on the 19th and then set up for Little Bear Boutique the same day....( both in the Palmdale Ca area) then off to Idyllwild for the Harvest Festival the 2 days after Thanksgiving.......I can't wait...it is one of my favorite shows we do!
Ok now off to make some Carne Asada Tacos for dinner then to hang out with the hubby for the remainder of the evening.......and there you have it ...another glimpse into the constantly busy , incredibly dull like that is mine....lol

Candle musings......and Craft Shows......

Well it is yet again the time of year when we run in circles....and love every single minute of it! Eat, sleep and dream candles and the unending lists of "things to make". Will we ever be totally on track or dare I say ahead of the game? I hope not!!! The frantic pace seems to suit us.....lol
This is absolutely my favorite time of the year, filled with family, tons of work, pumpkin spice lattes ( this girl can not live by them alone but at times tries!!)
HHHmmmmmm want to work on this new blog all day and learn the in and outs but also have a to do list a mile long... baby steps, this will have to be done in baby steps! I have so many things to post, recipes to share...crafty ideas, pics and oh yeah the show schedule of where we will be for the rest of the Holiday season........all in good time.
